Happy Slapsgiving!  My Thanksgiving Day is just ending here in Ukraine, and really, I didn’t celebrate.My celebration will be on Saturday with other PCVs.   Awesomely, I found a recipe for french fried onions so that I can make green been casserole (also awesome is the fact that our oblast center has frozen green beans) and a friend convinced someone in her village to sell her a turkey and kill it tomorrow. Now that’s fresh and no thawing needed. Seriously though, not many PCVs in Ukraine (or I guess in quite a bit of places in the world) are able to find turkey for this holiday.
