Oh, and I also rock. Just saying.

I'm a 24 year old college graduate who gets nerdy about Linguistics. I am amused by the some of the most simple things in life and have been known to take some pretty awesome photos. I dig atheistic view points and find a person's ability for tolerance to be an amazing character trait. I am also cool enough to have colorful bananas tattooed on my foot; yeah, your jealous you don't have that tattoo to match two awesome people. Oh, and I like the number three, so much so I tend to buy things in triplicate :)

Ukrainian Ovens

Ukrainian ovens are an interesting species in the world of kitchen appliances, so I have pretty much avoided using mine since I got to site. Mine is a gas oven that I need to light by sticking my hand and forearm into it with a lit match. Oh, and there aren’t temperature settings either, so it is a guess, watch, and hope for the best game.

BUT…

After working with another PCV’s oven last week to cook one awesome turkey, I am finally going to use mine to make my first ever apple pie! Wish me luck! If this goes well, I will be baking more often. So if anyone has awesome recipes, send them my way!
